TCS London Marathon Charity Partners
How can we get involved?
Keep reading to find out more about the entry schemes for charity partners involved in our flagship event. This page has information for both new and existing partners.
Currently, there are unfortunately no further opportunities for charity partners to purchase new or additional charity entries for the TCS London Marathon as all have already been allocated until 2029.
You can complete the form below to note your interest in the event, you will be the first to know if opportunities become available in future editions. We do not currently have a waiting list.
Register your interestThe Charity Bond Scheme
In 2024, we launched this scheme to enable UK charities that have not previously held London Marathon Bonds to enter a ballot to secure new Bonds on four-year terms. The two types are: Golden Bonds (four charity entries per bond) and Silver Bonds (two charity entries per bond)
The current bond scheme covers the period 2026–2029. Bond terms are subject to change and are reviewed towards the end of each cycle. The length and structure of any future bond agreements will be reassessed as part of this review process.
We already have a Golden/Silver Bond
How does bond renewal work?
Bond agreements remain in place for the duration of the agreed term. Once the current cycle ends (i.e. after 2029), the scheme will be reviewed, and existing partners will be invited to renew (subject to future changes).
When will we be invoiced for our bonds?
Charities are invoiced annually for their bond allocation, usually in the early summer months, with payment required within the stated timeframe.
How does bond renewal work?
Bond agreements remain in place for the duration of the agreed term. Once the current cycle ends (i.e. after 2029), the scheme will be reviewed, and existing partners will be invited to renew (subject to future changes).
Do unused bond entries roll over?
Gold and Silver bond entries automatically roll over for one year only if unallocated on your Let’s Do This Dashboard, or if the registered participant does not cross the Start Line, subject to the terms of the agreement. If not used in the following year, they will expire.
Charity Advertising Packages (CAP)
Advertising packages provide charities with guaranteed entries alongside enhanced promotional opportunities to increase visibility and support participant recruitment.
We offer four tiers of partnership for U.K. charities involved in the CAP scheme, and three tiers for U.S.-based charities, each with varying levels of advertising and entry allocation. Each advertising package is managed through an individual contract, and is renewed on an annual basis.
All advertising packages are currently allocated. Please fill out the form at the top of the page to be the first to know if future opportunities become available.
We already have a package
Do advertising package entries roll over?
Advertising package entries automatically roll over for one year only if unallocated on your Let’s Do This Dashboard, or if the registered participant does not cross the Start Line, subject to the terms of the agreement. If they are not used the following year, they will expire.
When do we have to renew our package?
Charities that already hold advertising packages are invited to renew on an annual basis, usually in the Autumn of each year.
Charity Ballot
The Charity Ballot is an annual (subject to confirmation each year) draw where charities without bonds or packages can apply for a single entry in the TCS London Marathon.
Confirmation of the Charity Ballot varies year on year, but if you please register your interest using the form at the top of the page to be the first to know when more information is available.
Currently, the 2027 Charity Ballot has already been drawn, and a Charity Ballot for 2028 has not yet been confirmed.
We have a Charity Ballot entry
Do Charity Ballot entries roll over?
Charity Ballot entries do not roll over. If your entry is unallocated on your Let’s Do This Dashboard Marathon Day or your participant hasn’t completed registration by the participant registration deadline (found on the Essential Charity Information page here), it will expire.
We were successful in the Charity Ballot this year. Will we get an entry next year?
Charity Ballot entries are awarded on a one-year term. If you have been previously successful, this does not mean you will have an entry in subsequent years. You will be invited to apply again if a ballot is confirmed for the following year.
The impact of the TCS London Marathon on life-saving research
We are interested in Charity of the Year
Every year we appoint a charity, or partnership of charities, to fund an innovative project that will create a lasting impact for its beneficiaries. You can read more about it on the Charity of the Year page.
