Apply to join the 2026 TCS London Marathon Pace Team – one of the most rewarding roles on Event Day!
Applications open at 10:00 (BST) on Monday 8 September and close at 17:00 (BST) on Monday 15 September - so bookmark this page.
The application form takes about 30 minutes to complete – so set aside enough time to answer the questions accurately and honestly. Submitting it earlier won’t give you a better chance, so take your time.
We welcome applications from all runners, with most successful applicants having previously paced the Event or completed the TCS London Marathon at least once and possessing prior official, in-person marathon pacing experience. There are limited spots available for those who do not meet these criteria.
We’ll let you know if you’ve been selected by Friday 31 October 2025.
What you need to know before applying:
Age: You must be at least 18 years old on Marathon Day (26 April 2026).
Entry fee: You’ll need to pay for your place – £79.99 (UK) / £225 (International).
Code of conduct: You will need to sign a conduct agreement of what is expected and required of you as a pacer.
Volunteer shift: You’ll need to cover a shift at the TCS London Marathon Running Show, held at ExCeL London from Wednesday 22 April to Saturday 25 April 2026.
Kit donation: To offset the carbon impact of your pacer kit and shoes, you’ll be required to donate reusable kit, such as a T-shirt, and one pair of running shoes. The trainers will be sent to JogOn, and the kit will be sent to our apparel reuse partners.
