Team Green baggage-free Start Assembly Area at the 2026 TCS London Marathon

Participants will receive an email inviting them to join Team Green.

This year there are 7,500 places available, which will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants will receive an email inviting them to join Team Green on Wednesday 14 January.

Reducing the number of baggage trucks used at the TCS London Marathon is one of steps we are taking to manage our environmental impact.

The Team Green Assembly Area will have extra toilets, free tea and coffee, a Water Refill Station, and seating.

If you opt in, you will have two options:

  1. No kitbag – for the thousands of participants who already prefer not to use a kitbag.

  2. Bag drop-off near the Finish Area in St James’s Park, Westminster on Saturday 25 April (the day before Marathon Day) – participants can drop off a small bag or rucksack to have waiting for them after they cross the famous Finish Line.
