The 2025 TCS London Marathon will set a new world record for the biggest annual one-day fundraising event, with more than £75 million already raised for charities from this year’s edition.

This means the total raised through the 2025 event has already beaten the existing world record of £73.5 million, set at the 2024 TCS London Marathon. The final total will be announced in September.

Chester Mojay-Sinclare, founder and chief executive of Enthuse, the official online fundraising partner of London Marathon Events, said: “A truly inspiring day, marked by another record-breaking total raised for charities. We’re incredibly proud to kick off the first year of our new 10-year partnership as the official fundraising partner of the TCS London Marathon, with £34 million already raised through our platform for the 2025 event alone, a 26% increase year-on-year, and donations still coming in.

“The enthusiasm for taking part in the Marathon has never been stronger, and we’re excited about the impact we can make over the next decade. This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to a charity-first approach - putting their voice, brand, and needs at the heart of everything we do.”

Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events, organisers of the TCS London Marathon, said: “The 2025 TCS London Marathon broke many records over the weekend and this fantastic news means that we have already exceeded our own world record of £73.5 million from 2024 as the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event. That is a wonderful achievement and huge thanks to every single person who fundraised and to all those who donated to a huge array of charitable causes.

“As we saw last year, the total will continue to grow as many donations come in after the event weekend. The total fundraising from the 2024 TCS London Marathon grew from £67 million on Marathon Day to more than £73 million in the months following the event so we know there is much more to come. We will announce the final total in September.”

Enthuse, the official online fundraising partner of the TCS London Marathon, has announced £34 million has been raised so far on its platform, while £41 million has been donated via JustGiving (source JustCharity).

The 2025 TCS London Marathon also broke the Guinness World Records title for the most finishers in a marathon when 56,640 people completed the 45th edition last weekend.
