Meet the celebrities taking part

Ex-Arsenal and England Captain Tony Adams, cycling royalty Dame Laura Kenny, and award-winning actors Cynthia Erivo and James Norton will be at the Start Line.

The list of famous faces set to line up at this year’s TCS London Marathon is stacked with sporting pedigree, acting royalty and musical powerhouses. They will join more than 59,000 participants on the Start Line in April.   

Please find below a definitive guide to all the celebrities running this year’s 2026 TCS London Marathon.  

  • Cynthia Erivo – Award-winning actor and star of Wicked, Cynthia is taking on the London Marathon again after completing the 2022 event in an impressive 3:35:36. She is running for both The Kings Trust and Shameless Fund.
  • Tony Adams – Former Arsenal and England captain and Chair of The Forward Trust, Tony is taking on his first London Marathon in support of the charity, joining #TeamForward to raise vital funds for recovery and rehabilitation services that help people break cycles of addiction and disadvantage, following his own battle.
  • Sir Alastair Cook – England cricket legend, Alastair is taking on the London Marathon once again for the Ruth Strauss Foundation, this year running with his brother. This follows on from him running the 2025 event alongside Sir Andrew Strauss to support families facing the death of a parent from cancer.
  • Dame Laura Kenny - Britain’s most decorated female Olympian, Laura will make her debut in the London Marathon for The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust, following her own traumatic experience of miscarriage and a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy. After being unable to run last year while pregnant with her third child, she is now channelling her advocacy into raising awareness of ectopic pregnancy and supporting others affected by it.
  • Aaron Ramsey – Former professional footballer and three-time FA Cup winner during his 11-year-career at Arsenal, Aaron is making his marathon debut this year as he takes on the London Marathon in support of It’s Never You, a charity dedicated to helping parents of children with cancer.
  • Sebastian Vettel - Four‑time Formula One world champion, Sebastian is taking on the 2026 London Marathon after retiring from professional racing at the end of the 2022 season. He is raising funds for the Brain & Spine Foundation and the Grand Prix Trust.
  • Sir Ben Ainslie – Four-time Olympic gold medallist and Patron of the 1851 Trust, Ben will take on his first ever marathon at the 2026 TCS London Marathon, running in support of the education charity he helped launch to inspire young people through sailing and STEM. 
  • James Norton - Actor and star of House of Guinness, James is taking on his first London Marathon for the charity Breakthrough T1D, following his own diagnosis of type 1 diabetes aged 22.
  • Daddy Pig - Chief Puddle‑Jumper and avid jogger, Daddy Pig is taking on the 2026 TCS London Marathon for the National Deaf Children’s Society, following the announcement earlier this year that George Pig is moderately deaf. Daddy Pig will take on the iconic marathon on Sunday 26 April, raising vital funds and awareness to support deaf children and their families.
  • Joe Wicks – Fitness coach and bestselling author known as The Body Coach, is returning this year to take on the London Marathon for the third time, most recently finishing the 2025 event in 5:54:59. He is running in support of The Body Coach Foundation, continuing his mission to use fitness and community to drive positive change.
  • Jack O'Connell – The acclaimed British actor known for roles in Skins, ’71 and Sinners, Jack is taking on his first London Marathon this year in support of Alzheimer’s Research UK.
  • Harry Judd - McFly drummer and long‑time running enthusiast, Harry is returning to the London Marathon this year, earning a reputation for continually chasing faster times. Most recently, he clocked an impressive 3:15 at the 2025 London Marathon.
  • Sir Anthony (AP) McCoy - Twenty‑time Champion Jockey and legendary Grand National winner, Anthony is taking on his first ever marathon at the 2026 London Marathon. He is running to raise funds for the Matt Hampson Foundation.
  • Ore Oduba - Television presenter and performer, Ore is taking on the TCS London Marathon this year in honour of his beloved sister Lola, who died by suicide last April. Ore is completing the marathon for Black Girls Hike, the walking community that brought Lola joy, and raising money for Smartphone Free Childhood.
  • Aimee Fuller – The former two-time Team GB Winter Olympian and now sports broadcaster is returning to the London Marathon this year after previously completing the race as part of her transition from elite snowboarding to long distance running. She first took on the marathon in 2019.
  • John Robins – Comedian and co-host of the Elis James and John Robins podcast, John returns to the London Marathon again this year. He is raising money for Stand Together Against Domestic Abuse, having become an ambassador for the charity in 2025.
  • Samantha Spiro - The award-winning British actress, celebrated for her performances in Sex Education and Game of Thrones, is taking on the London Marathon this year in support of Alzheimer’s Research UK alongside several other celebrity runners. 
  • Tilly Ramsay - TV presenter and chef, Tilly is taking on her first ever TCS London Marathon in 2026, running in support of Feeding Britain. Backed by Flora UK as part of their new partnership with the charity, Tilly aims to help tackle food insecurity across the UK while inspiring others.
  • Fern Brady - Award‑winning Scottish comedian and bestselling author, Fern is taking on the 2026 London Marathon in support of Autistica, having been Diagnosed as autistic in 2021.
  • Harry Clark – Winner of the Traitors season two, Harry is running 2026 TCS London Marathon for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE). Taking on his first ever marathon, Harry hopes to raise vital funds so more young people across the UK can access the DofE.
