Did you know you can get a second chance?

When you enter the ballot and choose to double your chances, great things happen:

Reduced entry fee. If you get a place through the ballot, your fee drops from £79.99 to £49.99.

Double your chances of securing a place. If you’re not successful in the main ballot,
be automatically entered into a second ballot - giving you at least double the chance of getting a place. If you’re successful in either draw, your entry is fully prepaid and confirmed.

What happens next?

You’ll receive a confirmation email when you apply. If you donated your entry fee, you’ll also receive a payment receipt. Please allow time for these emails to arrive, demand is high and remember to check your junk folder. The ballot results will be announced by early July.

What happens if I get offered a place?

UK runners who didn’t choose the double your chances option when applying will need to pay the full £79.99 entry fee.

International runners will need to pay the £225 international entry fee, which includes a carbon offset fee for international travel

Then you’ll need to get training! See our training plans, or if you want a personalised training plan, we’ve teamed up with the experts at Coopah to create training plans to help you reach your PB goals, download the Coopah app now.

What happens if I don't get offered a place?

Your marathon journey is far from over! You can either apply for charity entry by choosing a charity and fundraising for a cause you care about on the Run For Charity page. Or you could head down to the seaside, as there are still places for the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 4 April.
