This year’s Vitality Westminster Mile will be a bumper year for record-breaking attempts with two Guinness World Records up for grabs.
Already confirmed for this year’s event is a record-attempt for the most people wearing pyjamas to complete the same one-mile run.
In 2026, children and adults taking part and watching on will also be able to get their names in the record-books by completing the below challenges:
- Most large LEGO® bricks stacked in 30 seconds
- Most aerobics step-ups in one minute
Both challenges, which will be based between the Ruh Strauss Foundation and Royal Parks Learning tents in the Vitality Wellness Festival throughout the day, will be adjudicated by a Guinness World Records official, with leaderboards showing the best scores throughout the day.
Adults and children will be up for the challenge as they attempt to set the record for the most large LEGO® bricks stacked in 30 seconds. The record currently stands at 21.
The second record attempt will put individuals through their paces, with a chance to show their speed. The target to reach for those looking to set a record will be 106, with the current top mark for the most aerobics step-ups in one minute standing at 105.
In 2025, the record was set for the most people dressed as superheroes to complete the same one-mile run. More than 400 people ran the route to add their name to the record books, with familiar faces including Spider-Man, Batgirl and Wonder Woman flexing their muscles as they crossed the Finish Line.
