Road Closures
The Standard Chartered Great City Race returns on 21 July 2026
All roads on the route will be closed from 18:30 until 21:30 on Tuesday 21 July. Bunhill Row will be closed between Chiswell Street and Dufferin Street from 17:00 until 21:30.
The bus-only restriction on Bishopsgate and Gracechurch Street will be suspended at 18:30 to allow traffic to travel around the road closures.
RACE ROUTE: Chiswell Street (Start), Beech Street, Aldersgate Street, Montague Street, King Edward Street, Newgate Street, Cheapside, King Street, Gresham Street, Wood Street, Love Lane, Basinghall Street, Lothbury, Bartholomew Lane, Threadneedle Street, Old Broad Street, London Wall (westbound), London Wall (eastbound), Moorgate, Finsbury Pavement, Finsbury Square, City Road (Finish).

In the lead-up to the event, you will spot yellow road closure signs displayed on affected roads. Parking suspensions will be in place across the route, so please check your area for suspension signage.
On Event Day, police officers and stewards will help answer your queries and to ensure a safe and secure event. Thank you for helping to make the Standard Chartered City Race a fantastic event.
