This autumn, we're turning central London into a living comic book as we attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of people dressed as superheroes completing the same one-mile run.
The Superhero Wave will start at 13:05 and forms part of the 2025 Vitality Westminster Mile. The route starts on The Mall and finishes in stunning fashion in front of Buckingham Palace.

To be eligible to take part in the Superhero Wave, each person must be dressed as a recognisable superhero and must wear their costume for the entirety of their participation in the one-mile event.
Official Adjudicators will be on hand to check costumes and confirm successful participants as official Guinness World Records title holders.
Elaine Rayner, Event Lead at the Vitality Westminster Mile, said: “I am so excited to see so many other superheroes take part in the 2025 Vitality Westminster Mile. Every year, we see thousands of children make memories that will last a lifetime, many taking part in their first mass participation event, and crossing the Finish Line dressed as a superhero will only make the experience more memorable. Not only that but everyone taking part in the wave will be in with a chance of being a Guinness World Records history-maker so, whether a parent or a child, there will be heroes everywhere you look on Saturday 27 September!”
