Event doubled as official British Athletics trial race for World Athletics Road Running Championships half marathon. Donnelly confirms selection with her 69:54 victory - the third fastest winning time in event’s history.
The flag for the half marathon was dropped by the University of Bath’s Karolina Pakenaite, who will attempt to become the first deafblind person to climb Mount Everest next year.
Since the Brighton Marathon’s first edition, in 2010, more than 130,000 people have taken part in the 26.2-mile challenge, many running for their own unique and inspiring reasons.
