Sergio Aguiar’s daughter Alice, nine, was killed in a knife attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport in July 2024. Sergio and David Stancombe entered the 2025 TCS London Marathon to raise money for projects set up in their daughters' memory.

Aguiar, who did not have much running experience before training for the marathon, is fundraising for a new playground, stage and library at Churchtown primary school, which his daughter and David’s daughter Elsie attended.
