LME 2025
The London Marathon first took place in 1981 and has become one of the most popular marathons in the world
The route takes in many of London's best landmarks including Buckingham Palace, The Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf. You can read about the history of the London Marathon here.
The virtual TCS London Marathon MyWay, which started in 2020, lets you take part from wherever in the world you are.
Children and young people can get involved too! The TCS Mini London Marathon, an event for schools and children takes place the day before the marathon, and covers two distances, finishing on The Mall.
The mass and virtual edition will take place on Sunday 27 April.
