We’re committed to supporting distance running from playground to podium – which is why since 1986 we've hosted the TCS Mini London Marathon championships.

The TCS Mini London Marathon championships has given the UK’s most promising young athletes the chance to compete against the best new talent in British road running. Over the years, the event has launched the careers of international athletics stars including Laura Muir, Keely Hodgkinson and Josh Kerr – not to mention Sir Mo Farah, who won the Mini Marathon three times.

The 2.6K event will take place on Saturday 26 April 2025 for athletes in secondary school years seven to 12 in the following age categories:

  • U17 men and U17 women, aged 15 or 16 on 31 August 2023 (school year 11 or 12)
  • U15 boys and U15 girls, aged 13 or 14 on 31 August 2023, (school year nine or 10)
  • U13 boys and U13 girls, aged 11 or 12 on 31 August 2023 (school year seven or eight)

Please note in accordance with UKA rules, pupils in year six are not eligible to compete

What's more championship athletes will be the first to cross the world-famous Finish Line on The Mall, the day before the TCS London Marathon.

New Balance prizes will be up for grabs and there is an opportunity to meet road running royalty.
